My wife says she likes the team of Mavericks because they remind her of Tom Cruise in the movie Top Gun.
As someone whose first car was a Ford Maverick, that's ok with me.

Driving a Ford Maverick does not a maverick make any more than saying over and over and over and over and over and over that you're a maverick make you one.
Maybe McPalin is trying the "fake it til you make it" strategy. I'll give them credit for that. :)

No, she didn't fall flat on her face. She didn't drool, either, or claim to have international experience because she can see Russia from Alaska. Of course, she's never been on Little Diomede, so she's never actually seen Russia. But let's don't let the truth get in the way here...
